(Looks at calendar, realizes it's Tuesday)...we're back again!

Thanks to you all, Trivia Tuesday on the CBJ Today blog has become wildly popular and makes us enjoy giving away prizes even more than we already do. It has also confirmed that you folks are pretty sharp - but we already knew that.

It's pretty tough for us to stump you, especially when there's a giveaway on the line.

So let's get down to business with this week's question.

Tim Erixon
was a player that the New York Rangers did not want to include in a Rick Nash trade, but in order to get the deal done, he was a crucial piece.

The 21-year-old Swedish defenseman was drafted in the first round (21st overall) by the Calgary Flames in 2009, and was traded to the Rangers last July. He's a second-generation NHLer, as his father Jan was a premier shutdown forward for the Rangers in the 1980s and 1990s. Unlike his dad, Tim is regarded as an elite prospect and a strong two-way defenseman.

He was a steady performer for Skelleftea in the Swedish Elite League over parts of four seasons, beginning his professional career at age 17. He has represented Sweden four times in international competition and just completed his first North American pro season with the Connecticut Whale, the Rangers' AHL affiliate.

Erixon joins a revamped and fortified stable of defensemen in the Blue Jackets pipeline and will no doubt compete for a roster spot when training camp begins. We caught up with Tim via email (he's at home, training in his native Sweden and there's a sizeable time difference), and he answered a handful of assorted questions for BlueJackets.com and the CBJ Today blog.

We alluded to it yesterday, and now, the time has come.

In appreciation of you joining the battle with us and helping to #DefendNWA, we're giving you the opportunity to win tickets in a luxury suite or glass seats to select games on the 2012-13 NHL schedule.

It's just another example of why Blue Jackets fans rock: take a look at Twitter, and log on to Facebook. Our #DefendNWA avatars are all over the place, and the cover photos are being uploaded left and right.

And how about the message from James Wisniewski in the video shown above? Pretty awesome.

On to the contest...

When you "like" something on Facebook, it's a pretty strong indication that you either (surprise) like that item or approve of it.

Along those same lines: what if we told you a simple "like" of the official Blue Jackets Facebook page meant you get an exclusive opportunity to buy single-game tickets *ahead* of the Aug. 29 on-sale date?

Now that you're all-ears, I'll continue.

It's pretty simple. All you have to do is log on to Facebook - and if you're like most of us at work, you already are :) - and head straight to the Blue Jackets official page.
