3:00 P.M. -- Our final pre-game player interview today is with David Savard, who was a healthy scratch for the first seven games of the season but is in tonight's lineup. He's likely to pair up with Fedor Tyutin or Jack Johnson, depending on how the game transpires. Catch his comments on Jackets TV:

2:30 P.M. -- Blue Jackets coach Todd Richards met with the media prior to tonight's game, and discussed topics including the call-ups, responding to Tuesday's loss, and more:

1:35 P.M. -- Tim Erixon has played 18 NHL games as a member of the New York Rangers organization, but he's making his Blue Jackets debut tonight. Watch his post-practice comments to the media, right here on Jackets TV:

1:25 P.M. -- Per reports, Blues defenseman Wade Redden is out with the flu and Ian Cole steps into his spot on the blueline for St. Louis. With regard to the Blue Jackets defense corps, Todd Richards indicated that Jack Johnson and James Wisniewski will NOT start the game as a pairing, but things could change depending on certain situations (i.e. special teams, late in the game, etc.) that merit reuniting them.

1:20 P.M. -- Newly-recalled Jonathan Audy-Marchessault spent some time talking with the media after the morning skate. Watch his interview on Jackets TV:

1:00 P.M. -- We can now say with confidence that tonight's goaltending matchup is Sergei Bobrovsky (CBJ) vs. Brian Elliot (STL).

10:30 A.M. -- Erixon and Audy-Marchessault have spent time this morning work with the second power play unit, with Erixon on the left point alongside Fedor Tyutin. At this point, it looks like Bobrovsky starts in net for the Blue Jackets tonight, but we'll get official confirmation from Todd Richards after practice.

10:25 A.M. -- The CBJ lens captured some moments from this morning's morning skate. Take a look!

10:05 A.M. -- The Blue Jackets are skating in new lines and defense pairs this morning. Here they are:

Umberger - Anisimov - Dorsett
Brassard - Dubinsky - Foligno
Prospal - Johansen - Audy-Marchessault
MacKenzie - Letestu - Boll

Tyutin - Savard
Johnson - Wisniewski
Moore - Erixon

Bobrovsky
Mason

9:55 A.M. -- The Blue Jackets are filtering on the ice for today's morning skate at Nationwide Arena. Among them are recent call-ups Tim Erixon and Jonathan Audy-Marchessault, who arrived in Columbus last night from Springfield. Sergei Bobrovsky is working in the starter's net this morning, so we'll see if he gets the call tonight against the Blues.

9:30 A.M. -- Good morning and happy game day! The Blue Jackets and St. Louis Blues are set for a Central Division clash tonight at Nationwide Arena, and the BlueJackets.com game day blog is here and ready to be your one-stop shop for all the latest news, interviews and more from now until puck drop.

That last sentence kind of rhymed, which would be extra cool if I was planning on it. I actually didn't realize it until after I posted this. Consider it a late edit to make myself feel good.

The skinny on tonight's game: the Blue Jackets are looking to bounce back from Tuesday's 3-2 loss in Minnesota in which they fought back from 2-0 deficit, only to give up the winner with 5:19 to play. They've got an opponent tonight that's playing solid hockey and has won five of its first six games, so it'll be another "all hands on deck" performance needed to get the win.

Let's recap yesterday's happenings before heading down to the Blue Jackets morning skate:

- Jonathan Audy-Marchessault and Tim Erixon were called up from Springfield yesterday and both players are expected to make their Blue Jackets debuts tonight. It will be the NHL debut for Audy-Marchessault, 22, who is the third-leading scorer in the AHL and like Erixon, represented the Falcons at last weekend's AHL All-Star Classic in Providence.

- Matt Calvert joined Cam Atkinson on the IR yesterday, as an upper-body injury suffered Monday vs. Dallas is keeping him out of the lineup. There is no timetable for Atkinson to get back in action, but Calvert's injury is looking like a one-week absence.

- No starting goaltender has been announced (yet) for the Blue Jackets, but you can expect Brian Elliot to get the call for St. Louis tonight. The Blues plan to start Jaroslav Halak tomorrow night in Detroit.

Stay tuned to this blog throughout the day for plenty more from the rink!
