10:15 P.M. -- SECOND PERIOD ANALYSIS: Well, the intensity sure kicked up a notch didn't it? Another crazy period at the place they call the Madhouse on Madison, with three goals all coming in a short time frame and Chicago holds a 3-2 lead after 40 minutes. Artem Anisimov celebrated his return to the lineup with a sweet wrister to give the Blue Jackets a 2-1 lead midway through the frame, but the Blackhawks stormed back with goals from Patrick Sharp and Bryan Bickell to lead for the first time tonight. There are plenty of scoring chances available tonight, now it's up to the Blue Jackets' offense to bury a few of them in the third period.

9:15 P.M. -- FIRST PERIOD ANALYSIS: Quite a fast-paced, back-and-forth period to start things off at the United Center.  The Blue Jackets and Blackhawks are roaring up and down the rink and it's been pretty entertaining, with only one power play per side in the first 20 minutes. Vinny Prospal opened the scoring for Columbus just 31 seconds into the game, and the Blue Jackets had the better of the play until the midway point when the Blackhawks started to get some life. Viktor Stalberg tied things up with his 367th goal against the Blue Jackets (I'm kidding, of course) late in the frame and that's where we stand. Dalton Prout arrived in Chicago, got to the rink and dressed in time for the last six minutes of the first and they'll look to work him into the defense pairing rotations as the game moves along.

3:45 P.M. -- Mark Letestu is slated to play center between Vinny Prospal and Derek Dorsett for tonight's game in Chicago. Check out his interview with Bob McElligott from this morning's skate:

3:15 P.M. -- Blue Jackets defenseman Fedor Tyutin already plays a big role for the club, but it's expanded further with three regular defensemen out of tonight's lineup. He spoke with Bob McElligott following practice:

2:30 P.M. -- CBJ LINEUP: Here are the projected lines for Columbus tonight:

Calvert - Anisimov - Atkinson
Umberger - Johansen - Foligno
Prospal - Letestu - Dorsett
Gillies - MacKenzie - Boll

Tyutin - Nikitin
Erixon - Aucoin
Prout - Goloubef

Mason

1:40 P.M. -- MOORE INJURED: Just in from CBJ public relations...John Moore suffered an upper body injury during today's morning skate and will not play vs. Chicago. The club has recalled Dalton Prout from Springfield and hope he arrives in time for tonight's game.

1:15 P.M. -- BOB EVANS CARRYOUT SWEEPSTAKES: How does a chance to win four (4) tickets to a Blue Jackets game and watch pre-game warmups from the Bob Evans Carry-Out Box at Nationwide Arena sound? Yeah, not bad at all, right? Here's how to enter: go to BlueJackets.com/BobEvansCarryOut and fill out the form, and you're all set.

1:10 P.M. -- MASON GETS THE CALL: Just in from the Blue Jackets morning skate, we have news that Steve Mason is the starting goaltender for Columbus tonight. He played well in the 1-0 loss on the same ice surface six days ago, and he will get another shot at the 17-0-3 Blackhawks tonight.

12:45 P.M. -- Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch tweets that Artem Anisimov is taking a regular shift with his line mates during the morning skate. Nick Drazenovic appears to be a healthy scratch vs. Chicago.

12:30 P.M. -- EMERY STARTS: Word from Chicago is that the Blackhawks, who saw starter Corey Crawford leave last night's game in St. Louis during the first period with an upper-body injury, are going to start Ray Emery between the pipes tonight against the Blue Jackets. Emery holds a perfect 8-0-0 record this season.

12:25 P.M. -- #CBJBlackTie...a video recap of what was a tremendous night at Nationwide Arena in the fight against pediatric cancer:

12:15 P.M. -- HERE WE GO: Good afternoon, everyone, and welcome to another CBJ game day blog from the road. The Blue Jackets are in Chicago and about to get their morning skate under way at the Madhouse on Madison, more formally known as United Center.

Tonight's game - which begins at 8:30 p.m. - is the third of four meetings between the Blackhawks and Blue Jackets this season, and the previous two were both one-goal decisions. Chicago won a 3-2 game at Nationwide Arena back on Jan. 26, and took a 1-0 victory on home ice less than a week ago.

Blue Jackets coach Todd Richards said he expects Artem Anisimov back in the lineup tonight, and other injured players (Dubinsky, Brassard, Johnson) are about a week or so away from returning.

Stay tuned to the game day blog for all the latest news, lineup notes and player interviews from today's morning skate!
