8:00 P.M. -- Not a bad opening period for either side but the Blackhawks had some good looks at Bobrovsky. The Blue Jackets goaltender has been strong so far in this one, and it's been a penalty-free affair through the first 20-plus minutes. One thing to watch: how quickly the Jackets can transition out of their end. The Blackhawks love to spend time in the offensive zone and the longer they do, it doesn't bode well for the opponent.

7:25 P.M. -- A couple of chances either way so far (a big pad save by Bobrovsky on Andrew Shaw is the highlight to this point), but we're scoreless at Nationwide Arena. Like the pace of the Blue Jackets' game so far, moving with speed out of the zone and getting the puck into the right areas.

11:30 A.M. -- Corey Crawford is the confirmed starter for Chicago.
11:15 A.M. -- Blue Jackets coach Todd Richards just confirmed that Artem Anisimov will play tonight vs. the Blackhawks. Nikitin will not play, as he's "banged up" from Tuesday's game, so Cody Goloubef draws into the lineup tonight.
10:20 A.M. -- Cody Goloubef, up with the Blue Jackets on emergency recall, may get in the lineup tonight if Nikitin cannot play. Aside from him drawing in for Nikitin (possibly), the Blue Jackets lineup from Tuesday vs. Vancouver will remain intact.
10:10 A.M. -- Sergei Bobrovsky will start in goal tonight against the Blackhawks.
10:05 A.M. -- LINEUP NEWS: Nikita Nikitin practiced for a few minutes but left the morning skate early, so doesn't look like he will play tonight. Artem Anisimov has taken some line rushes but not on a regular basis, so he may be a couple of days away from returning. John Moore is still a bit away from a return, Todd Richards said yesterday.
9:30 A.M. -- TONIGHT'S PROJECTED LINEUP: For the time being, we'll start by taking a look at how the Blue Jackets skated in Tuesday's shootout loss to the Canucks. It should serve as a good template for tonight's lineup, pending any last-minute changes after the morning skate...
Umberger - Johansen - Foligno
Calvert - Dubinsky - Atkinson
Prospal - Brassard - Letestu
Gillies - Drazenovic - Boll
Tyutin - Johnson
Erixon - Aucoin
Nikitin - Prout
** Cody Goloubef was added to the roster on emergency recall from Springfield yesterday, which would indicate that one of the Blue Jackets' defensemen is a game-time decision/questionable/doubtful for tonight's game. Stay tuned.
9:00 A.M. -- LET'S GO JACKETS: Alright CBJ fans, we've got one last crack at the Chicago Blackhawks and that takes place tonight at Nationwide Arena. The previous three matchups in the season series have all been decided by one goal, the last being a 4-3 overtime win by the Blackhawks at United Center on Mar. 1.
Here's what we know so far: the Blackhawks are planning to start Corey Crawford in goal tonight against the Blue Jackets, and his last appearance against Columbus was a 1-0 shutout win on Feb. 24. The Blue Jackets need to get more pucks on Crawford than they did in that game, and based on their performances in the past seven games, they've adopted that mentality ten-fold.
As for the Blue Jackets, we don't yet know who will be starting in goal -- but in order to find out first, you'll want to keep it locked right here on the game day blog. If it happens at the Blue Jackets morning skate, we'll post it here first.
