WE'RE HEADED TO OT TIED AT ONE -- STAY TUNED!
8:24 P.M. -- Four minutes left to extend our franchise-record longest home unbeaten streak (games without a regulation loss) to TWELVE! Our last home regulation loss was on Sunday, February 10 vs. EDM. In every home game since then, we have gone 8-0-3 with our last shootout loss on 3/14 vs. CHI.
The previous record was 6 straight home games with a point.
8:06 P.M. -- Anaheim capitalizes on a Jackets turnover. We're tied 1-1 with 13:30 left to play.
8:03 P.M. -- LISTEN as Mark Wyant talks with Derek MacKenzie after the second period against the Ducks.
7:59 P.M. -- The third period is underway. Your Blue Jackets are 8-0-0 this season when holding the lead going into the final period. LET'S MAKE IT 9-0-0!
7:39 P.M. -- SECOND PERIOD ANALYSIS: The Blue Jackets finally broke through on the scoreboard in the second period - and it was some intelligent work in the offensive zone that made it happen. Vinny Prospal, Mark Letestu and Derick Brassard went to work on the cycle and Prospal found Letestu rotating at the high left point. Letestu sent a half-shot, half-pass of the end boards and Brassard was on point at the side of the net to chop it over Jonas Hiller for a 1-0 Columbus lead. Shots on goal favor the Jackets by a 13-12 margin through 40 minutes.WATCH Brassard's goal:
7:39 P.M. -- Umby's tough.
Umberger literally got punched in the face, and is laying on the ice in serious pain. No penalty called. #CBJ— Rob Mixer (@RobMixer) March 31, 2013

Way to go @dbrassard16! 2 pretty goals in the last 2 games.— Bob McElligott (@BobbyMacSports) March 31, 2013
6:55 P.M. -- LISTEN as Mark Wyant talks with Mark Letestu after the first period
6:45 P.M. -- FIRST PERIOD ANALYSIS: The Blue Jackets have talked about bringing a high energy level to today's game against one of the best teams in the NHL -- so far, so good in the first period. They came out buzzing on the forecheck and got pucks in deep behind the Ducks defensemen. They created some chances off those turnovers but Jonas Hiller has been strong between the pipes for Anaheim, much like he was two nights ago in Chicago. The Blue Jackets had the better of the scoring chances in the first period and lead 9-7 in shots on goal.
6:00 P.M. -- So close! Still 0-0.
There was a brief review of the non-goal. Hit both posts...call stands. #CBJ— Rob Mixer (@RobMixer) March 31, 2013

10:30 A.M. -- UNDER WAY: The Blue Jackets morning skate has begun at Nationwide Arena and there are a few notable absences: Tim Erixon, Adrian Aucoin, Nick Foligno and Jared Boll are not skating with the team today. None of the four should be expected in the lineup tonight against the Ducks.

7:00 A.M. -- WELCOME HOME! Seems like it has been ages, but finally, the Blue Jackets are back on home ice today at Nationwide Arena. We've got a big game, too: the Anaheim Ducks are in town and are coming off a 2-1 win over the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday. They're hungry, the Blue Jackets are hungry...and now I'm hungry because I'm thinking about where I'm headed for lunch.
This is the second of three meetings in the season series between the Ducks and Jackets, and Anaheim got the win in the first matchup back on Feb. 18 at Honda Center. Though Columbus didn't come out with the win, we did get this wonderful highlight courtesy of BOB's glove hand:
