GAME BLOG: Blue Jackets at Canucks

11:38 P.M. -- SECOND PERIOD ANALYSIS: The Blue Jackets are slowly but surely settling into this game, but the second period featured more of what we saw in the first period. Vancouver is getting a lot of attacking zone time against the Blue Jackets, and it's forced Sergei Bobrovsky to do more of what he did in the first period. The Canucks are out-shooting the Jackets by a 25-8 margin through 40 minutes tonight but it's a scoreless tie entering the final period. Both teams are playing a tight, structured game that's not yielding many opportunities and most of the shots have been from outside the scoring areas. What to look for from the Blue Jackets in the final period: I'm expecting a big push, especially with a day off before they next take the ice Thursday in Edmonton.
11:15 P.M. -- BOB HIGHLIGHTS!: Check out some of Sergei Bobrovsky's best first-period saves:

10:47 P.M. -- FIRST PERIOD ANALYSIS from @RobMixer: If you're the Blue Jackets, the sound of that first period horn is quite the relief. The good news is it's a scoreless tie through 20 minutes at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, but the Canucks out-shot the Jackets by a 13-2 margin in the opening period and the vast majority of it was spent in the Columbus end of the rink.
Despite wanting a faster, more desperate start than they had Saturday night in Nashville, the Blue Jackets weren't very aggressive to start this one off -- but I expect that to change as the game moves along. The Canucks are a team that likes to make quick transitions and spend little time fetching pucks out of their own end, and the Jackets need a heavier presence on the forecheck to turn that around. They've had a couple of opportunities so far at Cory Schneider, but nothing sustained.
10:34 P.M. -- Still tied in the first, 0-0
