TIME -- JOIN US SATURDAY: We take the #CBJSocial Station on the road to the Buffalo Wild Wings on 1573 Marion-Mt Gilead Road in Marion to watch the Jackets take on the Wild at 8pm
>

9:32 P.M. -- THAT'S A WRAP! Jackets defeat Sharks, 4-0!

9:32 P.M. -- BOB protects this house!

9:10 P.M. -- GOAL GOAL GOAL GOAL: Scoring his 2nd goal of the season as a Blue Jacket....MARIAN GABORIK!

9:00 P.M. -- Here, we have a statistic for you:

8:45 P.M. -- SECOND PERIOD ANALYSIS: This is the style of hockey that Todd Richards is looking for. The Blue Jackets lead 3-0 after two periods at Nationwide Arena and are back to their ways of winning the board battles and the races to loose pucks, making the Sharks chase them down and do most of the work. Two quick tallies from James Wisniewski - a rocket one-timer that Niemi never saw - and a sweet finish from Ryan Johansen off a Marian Gaborik feed have the Jackets leading by three. They'll need more of that kind of energy to finish this off in the third period.

WATCH ALL THE GOALS:

ONE. (Calvert)

TWO. (Wisniewski)

THREE. (Johansen)

8:33 P.M. -- BOB is MADE OF STEEL, but smelled some salts just in case.

8:20 P.M. -- What "slump"? Gaby is HEATING UP!

8:15 P.M. -- Ask them anything....really. ANYTHING:

8:08 P.M. -- TIC! TAC! TOE! Gaborik feeds Johansen for a GOOOOOAL! That's his 3rd of the season! Jackets 3! Sharks 0.
8:08 P.M. -- GOAL GOAL GOAL from WIZ! James Wisniewski tallies his 5th goal of the season with a MONSTROUS slapper from 48 feet out!
7:50 P.M. -- FIRST PERIOD ANALYSIS: Great start to tonight's game if you're the Blue Jackets, who came out with their foot on the gas pedal and established their forecheck right away - a key to success against a possession team like the Sharks. Matt Calvert's eighth goal of the season is the difference so far, and it came from a tenacious shift by his line. Mark Letestu and Cam Atkinson made great plays along the wall and the cycle found Calvert buzzing around the front of the net, and he was able to chop it past Antti Niemi at 8:39 of the first. Shots are even at 9-9 after 20 minutes.

7:40 P.M. -- Having trouble finding the game on TV? Check your local listings.
7:35 P.M. -- We'd like to thank all the fans who have joined us so far this season in the #CBJ Social Station! Join the conversation using the hashtag #CBJSocial!

7:10 P.M. -- GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Matt Calvert nets his 8th goal of the season! 1-0 Jackets!
7:10 P.M. --

7:00 P.M. -- Light 'Em Up! Here come the Jackets!

3:10 P.M. -- #CBJSocial Contest winners.... (P.S. the correct answer was #62, which Michael Chaput wore in junior hockey with Shawinigan!)

11:15 A.M. -- LINEUP NEWS: Todd Richards just met with the media and provided the following updates...

- Nikita Nikitin and Tim Erixon (both upper body) have been cleared to play and Nikitin will definitely be in the lineup.

- Dalton Prout is a game time decision.

- No changes up front, which means Ryan Johansen plays tonight and Michael Chaput is likely to be a healthy scratch.

- Richards is looking for the team to create more scoring opportunities from its power play and at even strength. The Jackets have scored just one goal in their last six periods.

10:27 A.M. -- Johansen looks like he's good to go tonight, but we'll wait for official confirmation from the head coach.

10:20 A.M. -- Dalton Prout left the skate early and we'll try to get an update from Todd Richards afterward.

10:15 A.M. -- MORNING SKATE: We're underway at the Blue Jackets morning skate. Here's what we know so far this morning...

- Sergei Bobrovsky starts in goal

- Tim Erixon, Nikita Nikitin and Ryan Johansen are on the ice

- Michael Chaput is here and wearing No. 39, and it's his 21st birthday

8:30 A.M. -- MORNING NOTES: A few early morning notes to get your day started, and don't worry...we will be updating you on these as the day moves along.

- Tim Erixon (upper body) could return tonight after practicing the past two days

- Nikita Nikitin (upper body) did not practice yesterday, but Todd Richards said he's a possibility for tonight

- Ryan Johansen is "banged up" and could miss tonight's game, Richards said, and the team recalled Michael Chaput from Springfield in case Johansen is unable to play

7:30 A.M. -- GAME DAY PREVIEW: The Blue Jackets play their second of three straight home games tonight and the Sharks begin a four-game road trip at Nationwide Arena. Rob Mixer of BlueJackets.com has tonight's storylines in the game preview, which you can read by clicking here.

6:30 A.M. -- UP AND AT 'EM! Rise and shine, Blue Jackets fans...this is a big day and there's a big ole hockey game going on at Nationwide Arena later this evening. Four points back of eighth-place Detroit with nine games to go, the Blue Jackets face a "do-or-die" scenario and that's how they're going to approach their remaining games.

Can they run the table? It's definitely possible and if they were to do so, you have to like their odds of qualifying for the playoffs. But let's not get ahead of ourselves; the most important game is tonight and the focus is on the San Jose Sharks, who have spent a day or so in Columbus after a 5-4 shootout loss on home ice that left a little salt in their wounds.

The Sharks didn't like the way they played in that loss to Dallas and their last game at Nationwide Arena wasn't so hot, either. The Blue Jackets dropped six goals on them in a rout, and you can bet that will be on their minds.

Follow this game blog all day long. We'll have lineup notes, starting goalies, injury updates, photos, YOUR tweets and a whole lot more. Perhaps even some opportunities to win tickets to the game...

Stay tuned!
