Ryan Collins is tall. Like, very tall.

Collins, a 6-foot-5 defenseman, comes from the US National Team Development Program after being selected by Green Bay in the 21st round (315th overall) of the 2012 USHL Entry Draft. He plans to start his NCAA career at the University of Minnesota next season.

In high school, he was a part of Benilde-St. Margaret's Class AA state champion high school team in the Upper Midwest Elite HS league during his sophomore season.

The 18-year-old from Minneapolis, Minn., is a defensive defenseman with a plethora of size and skating ability, which make him effective against top players. He has a long reach and great awareness in his own zone, and his strong first pass enables him to get the puck out of danger quickly.
