Welcome to "The Numbers Game: NHL Draft Edition"
16th overall pick Sonny Milano

The Blue Jackets selected Sonny Milano of the US National Training Development Program with the 16th pick. Here is a look at how the center's numbers add up:

- The number of months at which Milano began skating, when he took his older sister's spot in figure skating lessons after she lost interest in the sport.

27 - The number that Milano wore while with the US. National Team Development Program, in honor of his favorite player, Patrick Kane, who wore that very number while with the program.

85 - The number of points Milano recorded this season with the U.S. National U18 team. He put together 29 goals and 56 assists in 58 games for Team USA, which put him at 1.44 points per game.

19,000 - Milano's video commercial — including his slick-handling skills — received this many views, which won him a pair of skates at just 14-years-old.
