At 6-feet-tall, Olivier Leblanc is a two-way defenseman who currenly plays for St. John in the QMJHL.

The 18-year-old seventh-round draft pick played midget AAA hockey in Quebec at 15-years-old, where his Blizzard team reached the Quebec finals before eventually falling to College Esther-Blondin in five games.

After midget hockey, Leblanc was selected by St. John in the first round (11th overall) of the 2012 QMJHL Entry Draft.

In 2012-13, Leblanc served as an assistant captain for Canada Quebec in the U17 World Hockey Challenge. During that same year, he and his St. John team made the QMJHL playoffs despite having the league's third-worst record.

Leblanc missed almost a month after being injured this past February, but he served as an assistant captain for the Sea Dogs in a season which saw them missing the QMJHL playoffs.

Elite prospects said this about Leblanc in November 2013: "Leblanc is a smooth skating puck moving defenseman who sees the ice extremely well and makes crisp tape-to-tape passes. Skates well and is poised with the puck but needs to gain strength and improve defensively."
