COLUMBUS, OHIO – Columbus Blue Jackets prospect Oscar Dansk is one of 25 players selected to participate in Sweden’s selection camp for the 2013 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship tournament, the club announced today. The camp will begin December 15 in Norrtalje, Sweden with the roster trimmed to 23 players by December 25. The tournament, in which Sweden is the defending gold medalist, will be held from December 26 – January 5 in Ufa, Russia.

Dansk, 18, was Columbus’ second pick, 31st overall, in the 2012 NHL Draft. He currently is playing in his first season in North America with the Ontario Hockey League’s Erie Otters and has gone 7-14-1 with a 3.64 goals-against average and .905 save percentage in 25 games. The 6-3, 188-pound native of Stockholm, Sweden posted a 2.77 goals-against average, .910 save percentage and three shutouts in 49 games with Brynas Jr. over the past two seasons.
