COLUMBUS, OHIO --- The Columbus Blue Jackets today announced that forward Brandon Dubinsky has been activated off Injured Reserve and will be available tonight when the club hosts the Vancouver Canucks at Nationwide Arena. He was injured in the Blue Jackets’ February 16 game at Phoenix and has missed the past 11 games.
Dubinsky, 26, has collected one goal and seven assists for eight points and 39 penalty minutes in 15 games this season and was riding a three-game point streak (1-3-4) prior to suffering the injury vs. the Coyotes. Acquired by Columbus from the New York Rangers last July, the Anchorage, Alaska native has registered 82-139-221, 496 penalty minutes and a cumulative plus/minus rating of +21 in 408 career NHL games. He was the Rangers’ second pick, 60th overall, in the 2006 NHL Draft.
The Blue Jackets open a five-game homestand at Nationwide Arena tonight against the Canucks.
