Blue Jackets PeeWee Squad at the Quebec International Tournament

The CBJ Quebec PeeWee hockey team took on another Quebec favorite, Chandler, at the Quebec PeeWee International Hockey Tournament. The CBJ team jumped to a quick 1 – 0 lead, with a goal from Sean Kuraly and helpers Connor Murphy and Kent Sherrer. Damien Lona notched the CBJ second goal early in the second period with assists from Sean Kuraly and Luke Veitch. With only 0.4 seconds left, Ryan Borcherding tipped in a shot from Kevin Putnam to take them to a 3 – 0 lead at the end of the 2nd period. But hockey is meant to be played for three periods. The Chandler team marched back in the third period to make it 3 – 3. With only 49 seconds left, Kent Sherrer notched the game winner with help from Sean Kuraly.
The CBJ PeeWee team will now play two exhibition games on Thursday before returning to tournament play on Friday at the Colisee at 4:45 PM.
