COLUMBUS, OHIO – 2K Sports, the sports publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO), today announced that Columbus Blue Jackets captain Rick Nash will be featured as the cover athlete and spokesman for this year’s highly anticipated hockey video game, NHL 2K9. Visual Concepts has taken over the development duties for NHL 2K9 and is building a brand new experience from the ground up with the ultimate goal of creating an addictively fun sport simulation of the NHL that will be available this fall.

Nash is expected to travel to 2K Sports offices in San Francisco at the end of May to participate in two days of audio and video sessions, photo shoots, development meetings and motion capture sessions to begin preparations for the game's development. Previous NHL players who have been featured on the game's cover include: Brendan Shanahan, Chris Drury, Jeremy Roenick, Martin St. Louis, Marty Turco, Mats Sundin, Joe Thornton and Jason Spezza.

"I've been a longtime fan of the hockey games from 2K Sports. My idols have all been on the covers of video games as I was growing up, so to be on the cover of NHL 2K9 myself is truly incredible," said Nash. "The set of new features they're adding is really going to make this game special for hockey fans - I'm hoping they give me a couple extra points to my player rating this year!"

Nash, first overall pick in the 2002 NHL Draft, is a three-time All-Star who has registered 154 goals and 122 assists for 276 points in 363 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets. He led the club in scoring in 2007-08 with 38-31-69 in 80 games and became just the 15th player in NHL history to record a hat trick in the All-Star Game at Atlanta's Philips Arena on January 27. He also set an All-Star Game record by scoring just 12 seconds into the game.

In his second season, at the age of 19, Nash became the youngest player in NHL history to lead the league in goals with 41 as he shared the "Rocket" Richard Trophy with Calgary's Jarome Iginla and Atlanta's Ilya Kovalchuk in 2003-04. A member of Team Canada at the 2006 Olympics, he is currently playing in his third-straight World Championship. He was named Most Valuable Player and won a gold medal in last year’s tournament and was named to the All-Tournament team and won a silver medal in 2006.

"We're absolutely thrilled to have Rick Nash be part of the 2K Sports family," said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K. "Nash is one of the marquee names in the NHL today. He is a true gamer and there is no player more fitting to represent NHL 2K9 as we bring high quality fun to hockey video games for another year."

Deposits are now being accepted for the 2008-09 season. For information on season tickets, mini-plans or group tickets, call (614) 246-PUCK or 800-NHL-COLS.
