Blue Jackets Re-Assign Three Players to Syracuse
LW Greg Mauldin, C Raffaele Sannitz, D Jeff MacMillan assigned to American Hockey League affiliate
COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets have re-assigned left wing Greg Mauldin, center Raffaele Sannitz and defenseman Jeff MacMillan to the Syracuse Crunch, the Blue Jacketsâ€™ American Hockey League affiliate, team President and General Manager Doug MacLean announced today. With the moves, the Blue Jackets now have 39 players remaining on their training camp roster.
The Blue Jackets, who are currently 2-2-0 in the preseason, return to action on Sunday when they visit the Chicago Blackhawks. The game is set for a 7 p.m. ET start and will be televised live on FSN Ohio. Columbus visits Pittsburgh on Tuesday and Detroit on Wednesday before wrapping up its preseason schedule at home against the Blackhawks on Friday and Nashville Predators on Sunday, October 2.
The club's fifth regular season gets underway at Washington on Wednesday, October 5, with the home opener slated for Friday, October 7, against the defending Western Conference champion Calgary Flames. Game time at Nationwide Arena is 7 p.m.
