Blue Jackets Look To Even Road Record
Will Face Anaheim Tonight at 10:30 ET
Looking to even their road record at 2-2-0, the Columbus Blue Jackets will face the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in a Western Conference clash tonight at 10:30 p.m. ET.
Anaheim, 1-1-1 on the season, won their first game at Chicago, 5-3, before falling to Nashville on former Duck Paul Kariya's game-winning shootout goal (3-2 L) and then falling in their home opener to the Edmonton Oilers, 4-2.
The Jackets are 1-3-0 on the season, dropping their first two games before winning at Chicago on Sunday and falling at the San Jose Sharks. With a loss in the season opener at Washington, Columbus' road record stands at 1-2.
The Jackets and Ducks will meet four times this season (tonight and 3/5 in Anaheim; 12/28 and 3/19 in Columbus). Tonight is the 17th meeting between the two clubs, with Columbus holding an 8-6-1-1 advantage in the series, including 2-4-1-1 in Anaheim.
The Jackets won the season series in three of their four years in the NHL, (3-0-0-1 in 2000-01, 3-1-0-0 in 2001-02 and 2-1-1-0 in 2003-04) and lost it just once (0-4-0-0 in 2002-03).
The game will be broadcast on FSN Ohio, as well as on the the Blue Jackets Radio Network, including flagship stations 1460 The Fan and CD101 in Columbus.
