Dan Fritsche Placed on Injured Reserve
Fritsche, 20, has skated in all six Blue Jackets games this season, recording 2-0-2 with 11 shots on goal. He posted his first career multi-goal game with a pair of tallies on Opening Night at Washington. The Parma, Ohio native was Columbus' second pick, 46th overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
Columbus returns to action on Friday night against San Jose at 7 pm at Nationwide Arena, the opening game of a five-game homestand. The homestand also includes games against the Detroit Red Wings on October 22 and 24, the Nashville Predators on October 26 and the Minnesota Wild on October 28.
