The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated defenseman Rostislav Klesla and left wing Rick Nash from the Injured Reserve list, club President and General Manager Doug MacLean announced today. Klesla and Nash are both expected to be in the lineup for tonight's game at Edmonton (9 p.m. ET start).

Nash, 21, has missed 11 of the Blue Jackets first 12 games this season due to an ankle injury suffered during training camp. He started the Season Opener at Washington on Oct. 5, but left the game early after recording three shots on goal in 8:24 of ice time. The first overall selection in the 2002 Entry Draft, Nash has scored 58-38-96 in 155 career NHL games. During the 2003-04 season he was named to the Western Conference All-Star Team, finishing the season tied for first in the NHL in goals (41) and first in power-play goals (19). He is the youngest player in NHL history to lead the league in goals. At the 2005 World Championships, Nash earned All-Tournament Team recognition after leading the tournament in goals (9) and ranking second in points (15).

Klesla, 23, has missed all 12 games this season due to a stress fracture in his leg which was diagnosed on Sept. 26. He appeared in four games this preseason prior to the diagnosis, registering an "even" plus-minus rating with 11 shots on goal and 15 penalty minutes. Columbus's first pick, fourth overall, at the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, Klesla has recorded 14-33-47 with 178 penalty minutes in 202 career NHL games.

Tonight's game will be broadcast on FSN Ohio with the IceBreaker pre-game show starting at 8:30 p.m. ET. The game also will be broadcast live on the Blue Jackets Radio Network and flagship stations WBNS-AM Sports Radio 1460 the Fan and WWCD-FM, CD101.
