Center Gilbert Brule Off Injured Reserve
Brule, 18, was placed on Injured Reserve due to an injury suffered in the home opener against Calgary on Oct. 7 and has missed the past 17 games. He skated in the first two Blue Jackets games this season, recording 0-1-1 with two shots on goal. Brule, the team’s first round pick, sixth overall, in this summer’s NHL Entry Draft, led the Blue Jackets in scoring during the preseason with 2-3-5 in six games.
The Blue Jackets return to action tonight when they visit the Phoenix Coyotes at 8 p.m. ET. Television coverage on FSN Ohio begins with the Ice Breaker pre-game show at 7:30 p.m. ET. The game also will be broadcast live on the Blue Jackets Radio Network and flagship stations WBNS-AM Sports Radio 1460 the Fan and WWCD-FM, CD101.
