CBJ prospect Petr Pohl, who was carrying the Czech team offensively with a team-high four goals, was held scoreless in Sweden's 3-1 victory to clinch fifth place at the World Junior Championships on Wednesday.

In other WJC action, Switzerland and Slovakia finished in a 3-3 tie, with Switzerland finishing in seventh place by virtue of a better overall record in the tournament.

Lativa defeated Norway, 4-0, to secure ninth place in the tournament.

The tournament's last two games will take place today, with Ohio's Nathan Davis and Tom Fritsche skating for Team USA as they take on Finland in the Bronze Medal game at 3 p.m. (ET)

CBJ prospect Kris Russell and Team Canada will then face Team Russia in the Gold Medal game at 7 p.m. (ET)

In the fifth-place game on Wednesday, Johan Ryno, Niklas Bergfors and Niklas Backstrom (empty net) scored for Sweden while Tomas Rona scored the lone goal for the Czechs, as all four goals were scored in a wild third period of play.

Pohl, who was selected by the Blue Jackets in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft with the club's fifth pick and 133rd overall, finished the tournament scoring 4-1-5 in six games with a +1 plus/minus and a team-high 21 shots for the Czechs.
