Vyborny\'s Two Goals Lead Columbus To A 4-3 Win
(Ticker) -- The Columbus Blue Jackets are making Nationwide Arena a difficult place to visit.

David Vyborny scored his second goal of the game with 83 seconds remaining, snapping a tie and lifting the Blue Jackets to their eighth win in nine home games, a 4-3 triumph over the Nashville Predators.

Since dropping a 5-4 decision here to Nashville on December 23, Columbus has been nearly impossible to beat at home, suffering only a 4-0 setback to Detroit on January 18 in nine contests.

The Blue Jackets got off to a strong start on Saturday, taking a 2-0 lead on goals by Vyborny and Rick Nash in the first 13:09. But the Predators, who had won the previous four meetings between the teams, stormed back with three straight tallies to move ahead, and had another waved off late in the first period when Yanic Perreault was ruled to have redirected the puck into the net with his glove.

Nashville had a chance to stretch its lead to 4-2 when Nikolai Zherdev was called for high-sticking late in the second. However, defenseman Duvie Westcott turned the tables, scoring on a wrist shot from the right faceoff circle with two minutes to go in the period to tie the game at 3-3.

With time winding down in the third, Vyborny supplied the heroics by completing his third two-goal effort of the season. From behind the Nashville net, Nash attempted to walk in front but fell near the left goalpost, losing control of the puck.

It slid directly to Vyborny, who fired it just under the crossbar for his 15th goal of the season.

Defenseman Rostislav Klesla collected three assists and Jan Hrdina set up two goals for the Blue Jackets, who have won three straight overall.

Scott Hartnell, Adam Hall and Perreault scored for Nashville, which had earned at least a point in nine of its previous 10 games.
