Vyborny along with Robert Lang, fed Erat for the Czech Republic's first goal of the game. Lang also assisted, along with Jaromir Jagr, on the Czech Republic's second goal of the game at 6:36 of the second period as Marek Zidlicky lit the lamp.
Martin Straka scored in the third period off of an assist from Erat to complete the scoring.
Tomas Vokoun stopped all 28 Russian shots, while the Czech Republic scored on three of 15 shots in the contest.
The Russians played a majority of the game without Ilya Kovalchuk - its second-leading scorer - after he was ejected for an elbow to the face of Pavel Kubina behind the Czech net in the second period that left the Tampa Bay defenseman bloodied.
Nicklas Lidstrom scored 10 seconds into the 3rd period to give Sweden a 3-2 win for the gold medal. Henrik Zetterberg and Niklas Kronwall also scored for Sweden.
Ville Peltonen and Kimmo Timonen scored for Finland. Henrik Lundqvist stopped 25-of-27 shots to earn the win.
