Blue Jackets Activate Mike Rupp off Injured Reserve
The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated forward Mike Rupp off Injured Reserve, club President and General Manager Doug MacLean announced Monday.

Rupp suffered a broken foot on Jan. 16 against the NY Rangers and missed the last 12 games before the Olympic Break. Acquired by Columbus from Phoenix on Oct. 8, he has tallied 3-2-5 and 54 penalty minutes in 35 games this season. Held without a point in his first 19 games, Rupp has collected 3-2-5 in his last 16 outings and has posted a “plus” or “even” plus/minus rating in 12 consecutive games (+7 in streak). The Cleveland, Ohio native has recorded 14-11-25 with 122 penalty minutes in 118 career NHL games.

The Blue Jackets return to game action on Thursday, March 2 when they travel to Denver to face the Colorado Avalanche. Game time is set for 9 p.m. ET, with FSN Ohio's Ice Breaker pre-game show starting at 8:30 p.m. The game will also be broadcast live on the Blue Jackets Radio Network and flagship stations WBNS-AM Sports Radio 1460 the Fan and WWCD-FM, CD101.
