Brule Named WHL Player of the Week
The Giants will host the winner of the Seattle Thunderbirds and Portland Winter Hawks series. The Winter Hawks lead the best-of-seven series three games to two.
On Tuesday, Mar. 28, Brule recorded a goal and added an assist in a 6-0 road win in Game 3 against the Prince George Cougars. On Wednesday, Mar. 29, Brule scored the game-tying and overtime game-winning goal in a 3-2 win in Game 4 against the Cougars.
On Saturday, Apr. 1, Brule recorded a goal and added two assists in a 5-2 home victory to win the series in Game 5 against Prince George.
Brule, a 19-year-old native of North Vancouver, British Columbia was drafted in the 1st round, sixth overall, by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
