Sergei Fedorov Training In England for Soccer Aid Benefit Set for Saturday, May 27
Match to benefit UNICEF features international celebrities and British soccer legends
The England team is captained by pop star Robbie Williams while outspoken Scottish celebrity chef and star of the recent reality show “Hell’s Kitchen” Gordon Ramsay will be at the helm of Fedorov’s Rest of the World team. Fedorov is the only hockey player represented on either roster. Other sports stars on the Rest of the World team include former Canadian sprinter Ben Johnson and ex-Formula 1 driver Eddie Irvine of Ireland. For complete roster information, visit www.itv.com.
The squads begin their respective training on Monday, May 22 with practice matches during the week leading up to the main event on Saturday, May 27. The teams’ training will also be the focus of a nightly program on England’s ITV network starting Monday, May 22 and culminating with the live broadcast of the Soccer Aid match at the end of the week.
