The Blue Jackets, who play their next two at home, have gone 7-3-1 at home under Ken Hitchcock and have scored 41 goals (3.72 per game) in those 11 games. The club has scored at least three goals in 10 of those 11 games and has tallied four or more in six contests.

With a 3-1 victory over Detroit this past Friday, Columbus has two wins over its Central Division rival in the season series, tying a single-season record against the Red Wings. The Jackets were 2-4-0-0 against Detroit in 2003-04. The teams will meet three more times this season (Apr. 1 at Columbus; Mar. 22 and Apr. 3 at Detroit).

After playing six of the past nine on the road, Columbus will play eight of its next 11 at Nationwide Arena.

PLAYER NOTES

C Alexander Svitov set a single season high with his fifth goal of the season Friday night vs. Detroit.

D Adam Foote had a goal and an assist - both on power plays - in the club's 3-1 win over the Red Wings. It was the 38th multiple-point game of his 15-season NHL career and, according to the Elias Sports Bureau, just the eighth time that he had two power play points in the same game. Foote's last game with two power play points came almost three years ago, Mar. 10, 2004, when he scored a pair of power play goals for Colorado at Edmonton.

G Fredrik Norrena stopped 41-of-42 shots Jan. 19 vs. Detroit. It was the ninth time this season he has allowed two goals or fewer in a game he has started. The Jackets are 7-2-0 in those games.

RW Dan Fritsche continued to add to his season totals with a goal Jan. 19 vs. Detroit. He has 9-11-20 and three game-winning goals to set single-season highs in all three categories.
