Columbus Recalls Konopka From Syracuse
COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets have added forward Zenon Konopka to the roster on emergency recall from the Syracuse Crunch, Columbus American Hockey League affiliate, club President and General Manager Doug MacLean announced today.
Konopka, 26, registered 20 penalty minutes in three games with Columbus after being acquired in a trade from Anaheim on January 26. He has 13-26-39 with 123 penalty minutes and is +20 in 48 AHL games this season with the Crunch and Portland Pirates. In 272 career AHL games, he has collected 77-134-211 with 828 penalty minutes and is +54.
The Blue Jackets return to action Friday when they visit the Dallas Stars. Game time at American Airlines Center is set for 8 p.m. ET with live coverage on FSN Ohio begins with the IceBreaker pre-game show at 7:30 p.m. and includes the Blue Jackets Ice Cap post-game show immediately following the game. The game will also be broadcast live on the Blue Jackets Radio Network and flagship stations WBNS-AM Sports Radio 1460 the Fan and WWCD-FM, CD101.
