Roster Trimmed By Eight
Four players assigned to AHL's Syracuse Crunch and four released from tryout contracts
COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets made their third roster moves of training camp today, assigning four players to the Syracuse Crunch, the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, and releasing four others from their tryout contracts, General Manager Scott Howson announced. The current training camp roster consists of 40 players.
The four players assigned to Syracuse were: forward Steve Kelly (pending waivers) and defensemen Nick Holden, Jonathan Sigalet and Kyle Wharton.
In addition, the club released forwards Devin DiDiomete, Trevor Frischmon, Jon Mirasty and Blair Yaworski.
The Blue Jackets return to preseason action Monday when they host the Chicago Blackhawks. Game time at Nationwide Arena is set for 7 p.m. ET. The game will broadcast live on the Blue Jackets Radio Network and flagship stations WBNS-AM, Sports Radio 1460 The Fan and WWCD-FM, CD101 beginning at 6:30 p.m.
