Jackets Look for Continued Success Against Pacific Division: The Blue Jackets play three of their four games this week vs. Pacific Division opponents. Columbus has posted an 8-4-4 mark vs. the Pacific Division this season and will look to continue that success in an effort to halt a season-high three-game regulation losing streak.
Blue Jackets in the Western Conference Standings: With 56 points in 54 games, Columbus stands in third place in the Central Division and 11th in the Western Conference. The Blue Jackets currently trail eighth place Nashville by three points and are five points behind fifth place Anaheim in the conference standings.
Vs. Rookie Brassard Nets First NHL Goal: C Derick Brassard scored the first goal of his NHL career vs. Minnesota on Feb. 2. Columbus' first pick, sixth overall, in the 2006 Entry Draft has collected 1-1-2 in 11 games since being recalled from the AHL's Syracuse Crunch on Jan. 10. Playing in his rookie pro season, he had registered 5-20-25 in 21 games with the Crunch and was selected to play in the AHL All-Star Game prior to his recall.
Zherdev Leads Offense in January: RW Nikolai Zherdev led the Blue Jackets in scoring during the month of January with 6-6-12 in 14 games despite being held without a point in the first four games of the month. He registered his second two-goal game of the season vs. St. Louis on Jan. 11 and matched his career high with three assists at Dallas on Jan. 22.
Miscellaneous Notes: D Ole-Kristian Tollefsen picked up assists in back-to-back games for the first time in his career on Jan. 24 at Chicago and Jan. 29 vs. Phoenix… RW Dan Fritsche is riding a three-game point streak (1-2-3) after being held without a point in his previous four games… He has notched 2-5-7 in his last 11 games… RW David Vyborny is two assists shy of 200 for his NHL career… Three Blue Jackets have played in all 54 of the club’s games this season – RW Nikolai Zherdev, D Rostislav Klesla and LW Jason Chimera… Chimera has played in a club-record 216 consecutive games since Oct. 9, 2005, which was his first game after joining the Blue Jackets in a trade from Phoenix.

The Coach's Show with Ken Hitchcock airs on WBNS Sports Radio 1460 The Fan on Wednesdays from 3 to 4 p.m. with the Blue Jackets Head Coach and Blue Jackets play-by-play announcer on FSN Ohio Jeff Rimer.
Breakfast with the Blue Jackets Presented by Rise & Dine can be heard on the Blue Jackets Radio Network and flagship station Sports Radio 1460 The Fan Sundays from 10 to 11 a.m. with hosts Mark Wyant and members of the CBJ broadcast team. The show will be broadcast live from the Rise & Dine in the Arena District located at 277 W. Nationwide Blvd.
