Columbus Blue Jackets and Skyline Chili present "Step Up to The Mic" Contest for Chance Win Tickets, Announce Game Stats
Skyline Chili contest kicks off October 1
COLUMBUS, OHIO — The Columbus Blue Jackets are teaming up with Skyline Chili to present the "Skyline Step Up to the Mic" contest in which several young winners (ages 6-14 yrs.) will have the unique opportunity to announce the shots on goal statistics over the Nationwide Arena public address system during select home games. Registered contestants and a parent can win a pair of tickets to a Blue Jackets home game during which the child will step up to the mic and announce the shots on goal statistics at the end of the 1st period.
Entries may be submitted through hand-written entry cards or by registering online at www.skylinechili.com. Official "Skyline Chili Step Up to the Mic" entry cards will be available at participating Skyline Chili restaurants in central Ohio from October 1, 2008 through January 15, 2009, or while supplies last.
In addition to winning two tickets and the child's chance to announce the Blue Jackets and the opponent's shots on goal, the winner will be recognized on the video scoreboard. The contest runs in-game at the following home games: Oct. 24; Nov. 1, Nov. 8, Nov. 18, Nov. 29; Dec. 11, Dec. 13, Dec. 27; Jan. 10, Jan. 16, Jan. 27, Jan. 30, Feb. 7, Feb. 13, Feb. 21, Mar. 3, Mar. 12, Mar. 15, Mar. 29 and Apr. 5.
The Blue Jackets return to preseason action Thursday when they host the Buffalo Sabres. Game time at Nationwide Arena is set for 7 p.m. The game will broadcast live on the Blue Jackets Radio Network and flagship stations WBNS-AM, Sports Radio 1460 The Fan and WWCD-FM, CD101 beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets for 2008-09 regular season home games are on sale now at the Nationwide Arena Ticket Office, FOX Sports Ohio Blue Line at The Mall at Tuttle Crossing, The Chiller Ice Rinks and all Ticketmaster Ticket Centers.
