Davidge Dishes about Vyborny\'s Goal

November 13

David Vyborny credits his wife's positive attitude in reminding him to keep at it, working hard and believing his goal production will be on the rise. He scored on a turnover to get his first of the year in a 4-1 loss to Nashville. He and Nash were both +1 on the night.

Curtis Glencross has developed his work ethic from his family who are in the cattle business. Moving from Saskatchewan to Alberta and being around that business has made Curtis realize both sides of life. He had the goal and assist in Nashville only after Michael Peca goes down with an injury. A "bag" skate in the morning, a day with the aunt and uncle and cousins in the afternoon, only to find he was being inserted into the lineup.

Rick Nash produced 8 shots on goal against Nashville Monday and all of them were individually garnered by hard work and desire. He had a few guys on his back tonight. As a matter of fact, he had a few guys from both teams riding him pretty hard.

The team is 7-0-1 when scoring 3+ goals. "Come on offense"… by going back to the simple things around that net and creating a little more sync between the forwards and defense.

Faceoffs by the CBJ have been a real positive this year remaining in the top 5 of the league. Manny Malhotra ranks 3rd in the league and he went 9&4 against Nashville. The team won 68% of their draws.

Kris Beech got his first regular shot with the CBJ, with Peca and Fredrik Modin still out. He played close to 7 minutes and won 71% of his draws.

In the loss, the CBJ stopped David Legwand's five game point streak, but allowed the line of Erat, Arnott and Dumont to be the first 3 stars in the game.

Hitch says there was no "energy… all day… and we tried hard but had no jump." He emphasized the "TANK WAS DRY" and somehow it needs to be filled by Wednesday against Chicago. Decisions were calculated and slow, but to make progress the team must move on not dwell on a disappointing game tonight.

Chicago is flying high. A big 3-2 win vs. the Red Wings, three consecutive wins over them… the only team to beat them this year. The Hawks and CBJ are 1-1 this year, 18-19-2 overall in the history of the rivalry!

Come see us Wednesday, with likes of Chicago's Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews and our own Pascal Leclaire and Rick Nash!!
