The Want, the Will, the Work ... Wastes the Wings
Wow… W's mean a win for the CBJ as they come in to Detroit to dominate the Wings in a 5-1 thrashing at JLA.
Fredrik Modin chipped in for two goals, five in the last six games he has played. He was a horse all night long and showed the strength and the want to contribute to this team. Thank you for finally being healthy.
Congratulations to several guys that chipped in with some milestones. Vyborny collected his 200 assist for his career. Dick Tarnstrom hit assist number 100 for his career and also has a three game point streak in tack with 1-3-4 in his last three. Pascal Leclaire appeared in his 100th game and was stellar in collecting his 20th win of the year. Nash collected his 30th goal and his 50th point of the season on a three point night.
For the first time in franchise history the CBJ came in and man handled the Wings in every category. The CBJ outscored them 5-1… they outshot them 23-21, the second lowest total this year the Wings have been held… the PP was 2-5 and the PK was 4-5. They chased Chris Osgood out of the game after 31:18 with four goals deposited behind him. Leclaire now will decrease his GAA average which is third in the league and he will also peck away at his goals against average which is second in the NHL.
Going from the worse loss of the season to Chicago, it proved that time is a cure as they won their best game of the year 48 hours later.
Stay tuned… we are in St. Louis where the plan is to sing them the Blues!!
