Three playoff game victories against formidable foes this past week show the CBJ’s are for real.  They are beginning to step on the ice and believe that they can beat anyone on any given night….and they are impressive in the manner in which they are accomplishing the feat at this critical time of year. It is March the 11^th and the team is in the hunt for their playoff beards, the first time in franchise history.  With 17 players debuted in the roster this year, it has been a total team effort from the net out that has separated this squad from others.

The quiet but subtle movements by the management led by GM Scott Howson, to make the team a little deeper are prevalent.  The structure and discipline exemplified all year by the Ken Hitchcock coached squad is really beginning to blossom as of late.  The belief by the players that actually play the game is in a category of a positive growth.  It is impressive for all of us to observe the seedling grow into a plant that has expanded its roots a little deeper into the foundation of success.  We are all ready for the next stage of success as the trunk gets a little more chaliced for the trip to compete against the Division rivals for the next month.

It begins in Chicago tonight.  The start of these Division games is now as important as any games in franchise history.  They take on new meaning to all that follow this hockey team.  Fans from England, Sweden, and all of North America are embracing the Jackets for who and what they are all about…they are true soldiers dressed in Red White and Blue!!!  The teams around the NHL outside the Division are cheering on the plight of the team as they charter through unknown waters.
