The Blue Jackets conclude their four game road trip here in St. Louis tonight. This is the show me state and the Jackets Head Coach Ken Hitchcock is looking for his team to show "HIM" that they want to be a playoff team.

After today's morning skate Hitch held court with a group of us saying that the Blue Jackets have played reasonably well on the road but to win on the road they have be better, more competitive, grittier, and play more reckless if they want to be a playoff team. Playoff teams win consistently on the road and that is what they need to do to be playing on into April and May!

Freddie Norrena gets the start tonight in goal tonight while World Junior MVP and Gold Medal winning goaltender Steve Mason on emergency recall will back him up. Hitch continues to be impressed with the 19 year-old puck stopper saying that he is mature beyond his years!

Hitch also talked about the improved play of Sergei Fedorov saying how well number 91 had played Saturday in San Jose.

Tonight's game is the first of back to backs with the Blues... they will be at Nationwide to face the Blue Jackets Friday night and both these games as well as Saturday's home start against Nashville are all four-pointers!!!

Final lineup decisions won't be made until game time, but David Vyborny will be activated today and in the lineup tonight.

And of course Danny Gare and I are pleased that we can finally get back to work after sitting out the three West Coast starts!
