Rimer Rambles about Nash, Leclaire

Well, for those that tuned into last night's All-Star game... I am sure you'll agree it was one of the more entertaining All-Star games in a while!

And, for the second year in a row... the Blue Jackets' Rick Nash was the best player on the ice, and for the second straight All-Star game... Nash was snubbed for MVP honors!

What an injustice!! Hot on the heels of another injustice, the failure by the selection folks in naming Pascal Leclaire to the Western Conference team despite being the goaltender with the second most votes as voted by the Fans not to mention his numbers prior to the all star break that has him leading or close to leading in all goaltending categories!!!

I really liked Nash's post game comments. Reading between the lines you get the impression that: a) Nash is saying that the Blue Jackets regular season and their attempt to nail down a playoff spot is more important than an MVP award; b) he will use the snub as motivation for the Jackets post All-Star game run.

Oh by the way... this just in... surprise, surprise Leclaire has again been named a star of the week for his outstanding net minding on last week's extended road trip.

The Blue Jackets put their franchise record six game home ice winning streak on the line with three huge home games in the next nine days beginning tomorrow night (Tuesday) at Nationwide.

Hope to see you there!
