Columbus Blue Jackets Trade Forward Fredrik Modin to Los Angeles for Conditional Seventh Round Pick in 2010 Entry Draft
COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets have acquired a conditional seventh round pick in the 2010 Entry Draft from the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for forward Fredrik Modin, General Manager Scott Howson announced March 3.
Modin has tallied 2-4-6 add 12 penalty minutes in 24 games with the Blue Jackets this season. Acquired by Columbus with goaltender Fredrik Norrena from the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for goaltender Marc Denis on June 30, 2006, Modin notched 39-46-85 and 110 penalty minutes in 176 games with Columbus. He has registered 222-225-447 and 425 penalty minutes in 838 career NHL games.

The Blue Jackets return to action on Saturday when they visit the San Jose Sharks.
