Columbus Blue Jackets, Medical Mutual of Ohio Announce Renewal of Corporate Partnership

COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets and Medical Mutual of Ohio announced July 27 the renewal of the corporate partnership between the National Hockey League club and the health insurance company. The agreement ensures the continued designation of Medical Mutual of Ohio as the official health insurer of the Columbus Blue Jackets. Medical Mutual of Ohio has been aligned with the team since the 2009-10 season.

The primary elements of the partnership include presenting status of the team's annual Blue Jackets Breakaway street hockey tour as well as custom Medical Mutual of Ohio branding adorning the "Hockey To Go" truck, a fully-equipped team vehicle used for instructional presentations, street hockey clinics, and special events throughout Ohio. The partnership also calls for in-arena signage as well as premium hospitality.

In addition to the renewal of Medical Mutual of Ohio, the Blue Jackets also announced today the multiyear renewal of Cincinnati-based Montgomery Inn which will continue to offer pulled pork barbeque sandwiches and smoked chicken barbeque sandwiches featuring Montgomery Inn's famous slow-smoked meats and signature barbeque sauce at arena concession stands.

The Blue Jackets also announced renewed partnerships with Columbus Brewing Company, Columbus Window Cleaning, Minute Men Staffing and the U.S. Air Force.

The Blue Jackets are commemorating their 10th NHL season in 2010-11. Season tickets as well as six-, 10- and 20-game packages are on sale now.
