Columbus Blue Jackets Announce Slate of 10th Season Game-Night Promotions
Opening Night game to feature Alumni Night, T-shirt and schedule poster giveaways for all fans
COLUMBUS, OHIO – Fans attending home games during the Blue Jackets commemorative 10th season will be treated to a host of theme nights, premium giveaways and special opportunities during select games, starting with a pair of giveaways and the season’s first Alumni Night when the Jackets host the defending Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks in the home opener on Friday, Oct. 15.
Friday, Oct. 15 vs. Chicago Blackhawks - Opening Night, Alumni Night #1 presented by Tim Hortons. Special appearance by former Blue Jacket Bruce Gardiner, who scored the Blue Jackets first goal in franchise history on Opening Night in 2000 against the Chicago Blackhawks, will include a ceremonial puck drop and autograph opportunity. In addition, all fans will receive a 10th Season/Opening Night T-Shirt presented by Tim Hortons as well as a 2010-11 schedule poster courtesy of 10th season presenting partners Tim Hortons, AAA Ohio, Columbia Gas, FOX Sports Ohio, OhioHealth and Time Warner Cable

Friday, Oct. 22 vs. Calgary Flames - Hockey Fights Cancer Night in partnership with OhioHealth Throughout the night, Hats For Heroes branded hats and other merchandise will be sold in multiple locations around the arena to benefit the Blue Jackets Foundation's Hats for Heroes program and 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the fight against pediatric cancer.

Friday, Nov. 26 vs. Detroit Red Wings - Debut of new third jerseys The Blue Jackets will take the ice wearing their new third jerseys for the first time to kick off a big sports weekend in Columbus as the Blue Jackets take on the Red Wings on the eve of the Ohio State – Michigan game in Columbus.
Monday, Dec. 6 vs. Dallas Stars - Nationwide NASCAR Night will feature a special appearance by the Nationwide Series Champion.
