Post Game Quotes - Dec. 1 vs. Nashville

Post-Game Quotes
Blue Jackets Head Coach Scott Arniel

Commenting on tonight's game…

"I'm not really satisfied with not winning the hockey game. We were down and then we got the lead and we had opportunities to get those pucks out (of the zone) on the third goal. We've been pretty good this year when we've gotten leads late in games. We've been good at clamping down. This one shouldn't have happened."

Commenting on the overtime and 4-on-4 play…
"We're a pretty good 4-on-4 team. We go after teams, and I don't think you take your foot off the gas in overtime. It's a chance to put you put your skill out on the ice and let them do what they do best. Our guys seem to be excited when it happens and we scored a goal 4-on-4 during the game on a great rush by (defenseman Kris) Russell. (The players) are confident when they're out there 4-on-4."

Blue Jackets Left Wing R.J. Umberger

Commenting on tonight's game…

"I thought we took it to them most of the game. They capitalized on their couple chances and we didn't. We had a lot (of chances). We fought hard tonight and they found the way to get the extra point." Commenting on his franchise record 10-game point streak…

"I am just trying to work hard and things are working out. Vermy (Center Antoine Vermette) been playing well. He's hot right now, too. I am just getting on a roll right now."

Blue Jackets Center Antoine Vermette

Commenting on the Central Division match-up…

"It's always huge, you want to take a lot of pride against these guys. You definitely want to take the point out of their hands. It is huge points and we could have had one more tonight."

Nashville Predators Head Coach Barry Trotz

Commenting on tonight's game…

"I think we showed some good resiliency. Columbus came out with a lot of jump. I thought we were able to weather the storm early. Peks (goalie Pekka Rinne) was really good and saved our bacon. I thought we got our feet under ourselves and I thought we played okay in the first. The second period was kind of tight checking type of period there was not a lot of chances on both sides. Then obviously we took a real bad penalty. That's a mental error, that's nothing physical. Anytime you do something like that it ends up in your net and sure enough they scored. We put one off the cross bar and they come down and score I think a minute later. Our team battled and fought back and got the point and obviously two points. We showed a lot of character coming back in the third. I was real happy with the overall effort."
