What/Who: Blue Jackets forwards R.J. Umberger, Jared Boll, and Derek Dorsett, goaltender Mark Dekanich and assistant coach and former NHL player Dan Hinote will lend a hand with on-ice instruction during the following sessions of Blue Jackets Hockey School, which runs Aug. 1-19 at Chiller North.

Schedule:
Wednesday, Aug. 3 – Mark Dekanich
1-3 p.m. – Goalie Camp (all ages)

Thursday, Aug. 4 – Mark Dekanich
3-5 p.m. – Goalie Camp (all ages)

Tuesday, Aug. 9 – Jared Boll & Derek Dorsett
11 a.m.-1 p.m. – Squirt Camp (ages 9-10), Pee Wee Camp (ages 11-12) & Mite Camp (ages 7-8)

Friday, Aug. 12 – Assistant Coach Dan Hinote
8-9:45 p.m. - Adult Camp (ages 18 and older)

Tuesday, Aug. 16 – R.J. Umberger
10-11 a.m. – Mini-Mite Camp (ages 5-6)

Notes:The Blue Jackets Hockey School will concentrate on the fundamentals of skating, stick handling, and passing, with special instruction on positional play and power skating. Young players will develop solid, fundamental skills that will build a strong foundation for their entire hockey career. Older players will focus on advanced passing, shooting, skating and stick handling skills while also working on team play and proper checking techniques.
