Blue Jackets FanFest, Presented by Boehringer Ingelheim Roxane Laboratories, Set for Friday, September 9 from 4 to 9 p.m.
Fans are invited to celebrate the upcoming season with a free event at Nationwide Arena highlighted by player autograph sessions & photos, interactive games, a plaza party and more
COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets are hosting Blue Jackets FanFest, presented by Boehringer Ingelheim Roxane Laboratories, at Nationwide Arena on Friday, September 9 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event begins with a plaza party on the Front Street Plaza from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Doors will open to Nationwide Arena beginning at 5 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. FanFest will feature over 20 players in attendance signing autographs and interacting with fans, open skating and other on-ice activities, question & answer panels, street hockey, kids' activities, food and drink specials, music and more. Players scheduled to appear include Rick Nash and newly acquired center Jeff Carter.
The event will also offer fans the first chance to buy 2011-12 single game tickets available exclusively at the event as single game tickets will go on sale to the general public through all distribution channels including BlueJackets.com, Ticketmaster.com, by phone at 1-800-745-3000, the Nationwide Arena Ticket Office, The Chiller Ice Rinks and all Ticketmaster Ticket Centers starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday, September 10.
The Blue Jackets open training camp with medicals and fitness testing on Friday, September 16 with the first day of on ice workouts scheduled for the following day and the preseason opener vs. the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday, September 20 at Nationwide Arena. The club opens the regular season on Friday, October 7, at home against the Nashville Predators.
Single game tickets for preseason home games starting at $26 are on sale now at the Nationwide Arena Ticket Office, The Chiller Ice Rinks and all Ticketmaster Ticket Centers. Fans can also purchase tickets by phone at (800) 745-3000 or online at Blue Jackets Ticket Central, the official club web site, and www.ticketmaster.com.
