COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets and Medical Mutual of Ohio announced today the renewal of the corporate partnership between the National Hockey League club and the oldest and largest Ohio-based health insurance company. The agreement ensures the continued designation of Medical Mutual as the official health insurer of the Columbus Blue Jackets. Medical Mutual has been affiliated with the team since the 2009-10 season.

The primary elements of the partnership include presenting status of the team’s annual Blue Jackets Breakaway street hockey tour as well as custom Medical Mutual branding adorning the “Hockey To Go” truck, a fully-equipped team vehicle used for instructional presentations, street hockey clinics, and special events throughout Ohio. Additional components of the overall partnership include in-arena signage as well as premium hospitality.
