Columbus Blue Jackets Invite Fans to First Day of Training Camp on Saturday, Owners\' Tournament on Sunday

COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets invite fans to the OhioHealth Ice Haus the morning of Saturday, Sept. 17 when the team takes the ice on the first day of training camp. The event is free of charge and open to all fans. The first 1,000 guests through the doors will receive an official 2011 Training Camp T-shirt. In addition, OhioHealth will set up a photo booth in the Ice Haus lobby for fans to take away a commemorative photo.

Doors at the OhioHealth Ice Haus will open on Saturday at 8 a.m. Goaltenders at scheduled to hit the ice at 8 a.m. while the first group of forwards and defensemen will skate at 9 a.m. A food and beverage concession stand will also be open.

On Sunday, Sept. 18, players will be divided into four teams – Team McConnell, Team Crane, Team Wolfe and Team Pizzuti – and will compete in the annual Owners' Tournament. First round games will be played at 11 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. The consolation game is set for 12:45 p.m. on the Nationwide Arena ice, while the championship game is set for 1 p.m. in the OhioHealth Ice Haus. Doors at both the Ice Haus and Nationwide Arena will open 30 minutes prior to the respective game times. A food and beverage concession stand will be also be open.

Fans unable to attend the Owners' Tournament on Sunday will have the opportunity to watch the championship game live on BlueJackets.com at 1 p.m. as Jeff Rimer and Bill Davidge call the action.

Single game tickets for Blue Jackets home games starting at $26 are on sale now at the Nationwide Arena Ticket Office, The Chiller Ice Rinks and all Ticketmaster Ticket Centers. Fans can also purchase tickets by phone at (800) 745-3000 or online at Blue Jackets Ticket Central, the official club web site, and www.ticketmaster.com.

Full and partial season ticket plans for the Blue Jackets' 2011-12 season are on sale now starting at less than $15 per game.
