Columbus Blue Jackets Place LW Kristian Huselius on Injured Reserve
COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets have placed left wing on injured reserve retroactive to December 6, club Executive Vice President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Scott Howson announced January 6. Huselius suffered a lower body injury at Montreal on December 6 and is listed as week-to-week.
Huselius, 33, has registered 190 goals and 261 assists for 451 points and has 254 penalty minutes in 662 career NHL games with Florida, Calgary and Columbus. The Panthers’ second pick, 47th overall in the 1997 Entry Draft, has tallied 58-84-142 and 90 penalty minutes in 189 games with the Blue Jackets since signing with the club as a free agent on July 2, 2008.
The Blue Jackets return to action Saturday when the club visits the Los Angeles Kings. Game time from STAPLES Center is set for 4 p.m. ET.
