Columbus Blue Jackets Announce 2012-13 Season Ticket Renewal Information, Sweepstakes and Rewards Opportunities
Renewal benefits also include opportunity to purchase tickets for 2013 NHL All-Star Game, Skills Competition
COLUMBUS, OHIO - The Columbus Blue Jackets announced today season ticket renewal incentives for the 2012-13 National Hockey League season that offer current season ticket holders the chance to lock in the same price they paid this season. Current season ticket holders with full or partial-season packages (half and quarter season) may lock in these prices if tickets are renewed by Saturday, April 7, 2012. Another renewal benefit is the guaranteed opportunity to purchase tickets for 2013 NHL All-Star Game and/or Skills Competition (opportunities vary by ticket plan). In addition, season ticket holders with full-season packages who renew by April 7 will receive an additional five percent early renewal discount.
“We are extremely grateful and appreciative of our season ticket holders’ dedication and passion for the Blue Jackets. They have exhibited tremendous loyalty to our team and that has not gone unnoticed. The additional five percent discount is one very tangible way for us to show our most ardent fans how much we appreciate the commitment they have shown us as a full season ticket holder,” said John Browne, Blue Jackets Chief Marketing Officer.
The club will also continue Blue Jackets Rewards, a program that rewards full season ticket holders who renew by April 7 and pay in full by Thursday, May 31 with the opportunity to enjoy complimentary food, beverage and Blue Jackets merchandise at Nationwide Arena next season.
Starting today, season ticket holders will be sent via e-mail a dynamic, interactive renewal kit offering a personal URL through which customers access a unique and completely customized presentation of their existing season ticket plan, along with a review of benefits and early renewal incentives. New to this year’s campaign, customers who renew their tickets online by the April 7 early renewal deadline will receive complimentary tickets to either Cedar Point, Zoombezi Bay or a Cincinnati Reds game.
In addition to locking in their same seat location for next season (excluding Flex Plan Holders), customers that renew by the early renewal deadline will receive the following benefits:
- Opportunity to lock in the lowest package prices that will be offered for 2012-13 – a savings of up to 63% (for full season ticket holders) compared to single-game prices.
- Opportunity to win one of over 600 prizes in the Blue Jackets Season Ticket Holder Sweepstakes. By renewing now, season ticket holders are automatically eligible to win prizes including trips with the team on the team plane, a trip to the 2012 Stanley Cup Final, a trip to the 2013 NHL Winter Classic, and a VIP package for the 2013 NHL All-Star Celebration in Columbus. One or more prizes will be awarded on a daily basis between March 14 and April 7, 2012.
- Opportunity for full season ticket holders who renew by Saturday, April 7 and pay their balance in full by Thursday, May 31 to enjoy the benefits of the Blue Jackets Rewards program. Introduced during the 2011-12 season, the program rewards season ticket holders based on the number of years they have been season ticket holders and the value of the season tickets they purchase for the 2012-13 season. The rewards amount ranges between two and four percent of the value of the tickets purchased for the upcoming season.
- Guaranteed opportunity for full and half season ticket holders to purchase tickets to both the 2013 NHL All-Star Game and Skills Competition to be hosted at Nationwide Arena in January. Quarter season ticket holders receive the opportunity to purchase up to two (2) tickets for the NHL Skills Competition or All-Star Game based upon availability and account priority.
In addition to the above benefits, full and partial season ticket holders receive a number of other great advantages including exclusive access to events with players and coaches and priority access to tickets for most other events at Nationwide Arena and the Jerome Schottenstein Center.
In order to renew their season tickets and take advantage of the above benefits, season ticket holders simply place a deposit by Saturday, April 7 and choose from four different payment options, including a 12-month, interest-free payment plan.
The club will continue to offer full season tickets starting as low as $599. With a plan first introduced last season, approximately 600 seats, located in sections 201 through 212, will be available on a full-season basis for less than $14 per game. Partial season plans will also be offered in these areas.
The Blue Jackets return to action tomorrow when they visit the Edmonton Oilers. Game time from Rexall Place is 10 p.m. ET.
