Camsanity in Finland Part 5

Hey everyone!

Thanks for following along this week, it's been a fun ride so far and hopefully we have a lot more hockey to be played. We knew that Kazakhstan was going to come out buzzing and they did. It was a lot of run and gun, and there were not many chances for either team. Every team in this tournament is good, so you can't look past them, and we found that out against Kazakhstan. We also knew they were going to hang back and play a trap game, which is boring. We just kept it positive in the locker room, telling each other keep playing this way and we will score some goals. It was a nail biter and came down to the last minute in overtime

What's impressed me is we're finding ways to win when we haven't played a solid 60 minutes of hockey. I also like how offensive our defensemen are getting and joining the rush to make plays. Our forwards are highly skilled, so no matter who you're playing with, you're going to get chances.

For the rest of the tournament, we need to work on making better tape-to-tape passes and bearing down on our chances to score goals.

I saw Methot after my game, and he was warming up before Team Canada's game against Finland. I kept telling him that he looks good out there...especially with his birdcage on. He was laughing, but I quickly took off so he couldn't catch me. I don't see him too much, but when I do, I try to make the best of it.

UPDATE: Team USA knocked off host Finland today, 5-0.

Thanks for reading my blog and I will check back in soon!
