The Columbus Blue Jackets and Time Warner Cable announced today a multi-year extension of their Championship Partnership in which the telecommunications company will remain the exclusive provider of entertainment and information services, including cable television, high-speed Internet and local and long-distance telephone, for the Columbus Blue Jackets and Nationwide Arena. Time Warner Cable has been a Blue Jackets partner since the club’s inaugural 2000-01 season.
As part of the contract extension, Time Warner Cable continues its in-game presence at Blue Jackets home games by presenting team starting lineups, goal replays and the in-arena, pre-game “Rink Report.” The telecommunications company remains the presenting sponsor of BlueJackets.com, the National Hockey League franchise’s official website. Time Warner Cable also retains name entitlement for its party tower suite and the exclusive, ice level restaurant area at Nationwide Arena, the Time Warner Cable HD Lounge.
“We are honored to have Time Warner Cable’s longtime support of our organization, and we’re thrilled to extend our relationship with them as one of our Championship Partners,” said Larry Hoepfner, Columbus Blue Jackets Executive Vice President of Business Operations. “We’re here to help Time Warner Cable grow their business and maintain their leadership in telecommunications with the unique access points to National Hockey League fans that visit Nationwide Arena.”
Outside of Nationwide Arena, Time Warner Cable will have ice-level signage at OhioHealth Chiller Ice Rinks including the OhioHealth Ice Haus, OhioHealth Chiller Dublin, OhioHealth Chiller Easton, OhioHealth Chiller Ice Works and OhioHealth Chiller North.
