The Columbus Blue Jackets have acquired forwards Brandon Dubinsky and Artem Anisimov, defenseman Tim Erixon and a first round pick in the 2013 NHL Draft from the New York Rangers in exchange for forward Rick Nash, defenseman Steven Delisle and a conditional third round pick in the 2013 NHL Draft, club Executive Vice President and General Manager Scott Howson announced today. The conditional pick will be returned to the Blue Jackets if the Rangers make the 2013 Stanley Cup Final. The trade is pending all players passing a physical.

“We are excited to complete this trade today as we believe the acquisitions of Brandon Dubinsky, Artem Anisimov and Tim Erixon, along with moves we made over the past several months to acquire Jack Johnson, Nick Foligno, Sergei Bobrovsky and Ryan Murray, have advanced the club and put us in a stronger position to achieve our goal of winning the Stanley Cup,” said Howson. “We are grateful to Rick Nash for all he has given to our organization, his generosity, and we wish him all the best in the next chapter of his career.”

Dubinsky, 26, has registered 81 goals and 132 assists for 213 points with 457 penalty minutes and a cumulative plus/minus rating of +24 in 393 career NHL games with the Rangers from 2006-12.
