BOOM! -- Are you ready? We're so close to dropping the puck on the season. We can't wait to hit the ice to begin a new chapter in CBJ lore. We need your help, though. Consider this our "call to arms." We're asking all of you to join the battle, and defend Nationwide Arena starting NOW. What does this mean?

First of all, single-game tickets are ON SALE NOW. For those of you who can't wait until the 29th (and we fully understand), you can like us on Facebook and gain exclusive access to a pre-sale opportunity before the official on-sale date.

And that's not at all: we're also going to give you the opportunity from 8/23-8/29 to win tickets for you and a guest in a luxury suite or on the glass for select Blue Jackets games in 2012-13.

How do you win? Here's how:

- Participate in our daily "scavenger hunt" contest on the CBJ Today blog. We'll be dropping a few hints in each day's post that allude to a particular opponent/game on the upcoming season's schedule.

- If you've registered and completely filled out the form, you're eligible to win that day's prize.

The posts will look something like this:

"We will DEFEND NATIONWIDE on ____ (date) against the _____ (team)....

Hint 1:

Hint 2:

Hint 3: ...... "

Using those clues, you will need to figure out the opponent we're talking about. Easy enough, right?

Beginning today, we're leading the charge to defend our building. This is our turf, our home ice, our stomping ground. The most essential part of making Nationwide Arena the loudest and most intimidating building in the National Hockey League is YOU, the greatest fans in the game of hockey.

Over the next week or so, you will see some of (if not all) our players sporting #DEFENDNWA graphics on their official Facbeook pages and as their Twitter avatars. The next step is your support, so make sure you've got your Facebook covers downloaded and your Twitter avatars ready to roll -- we're taking over, Blue Jackets style.
