BLUE JACKETS ANNOUNCE CANCELLATION OF FIRST FIVE REGULAR SEASON GAMES

COLUMBUS, OHIO – The National Hockey League announced today the cancellation of the 2012-13 regular season schedule through October 24. The cancellation of the games was necessary due to the absence of a Collective Bargaining Agreement between the NHL Players’ Association and the NHL.

The five affected Blue Jackets games during that period are: Saturday, October 13 at Chicago Blackhawks; Tuesday, October 16 at Minnesota Wild; Thursday, October 18 at Toronto Maple Leafs; Friday, October 19 vs. Vancouver Canucks; and Tuesday, October 23 vs. Detroit Red Wings.
